Though Tochi, C’19, first learned of Penn’s renown as a child, as an undergraduate student her eyes were opened to the many privileges of being at Penn, including pursuing both her creative and scientific passions on her path to become a child psychiatrist. A vital part of this journey was being the inaugural recipient of the Alexander James Moll, C’16, Memorial Scholarship and forming an enduring relationship with the Moll family.

“The journey to this point has been more demanding than I could have ever imagined, and I owe my progress to my parents, the Moll family, and to Penn. Once I earn all my degrees and embark on my global mental health mission, it will be because you all loved me so much that I can’t bear to think of any child feeling unloved in this life.”
