We are committed to putting educational opportunity within reach of all students. Your support makes this possible.
Penn is committed to meeting the increasing needs of talented students, for whom an Ivy-League education would not be possible without financial aid. With every gift to the Undergraduate Named Scholarship Program and Penn First Plus, donors affirm their belief in equalizing opportunity. Matching funds can expand the impact of our donors who share in this commitment.

Create a Challenge Fund
Our ability to leverage matching dollars that increase the power of endowed scholarships is made possible by the generous support of challenge fund donors. The impact of these gifts has been a hallmark of the undergraduate financial aid program and a significant factor in Penn’s unprecedented success in funding this core priority.
A gift of $500,000 can create a challenge fund that will encourage up to 10 other donors to make a scholarship gift. In recognition of this special gift, Penn will create and award a scholarship annually in perpetuity in the name of the challenge fund donor.
Penn First Plus
With Penn First Plus, the University has expanded its strong commitment to students who represent the first generation in their families to attend college and/or are from modest-income backgrounds. Donors interested in supporting this important and comprehensive initiative are encouraged to learn more about Penn First Plus and giving opportunities.
International Financial Aid
In higher education, excellence goes hand in hand with diversity. Universities who think globally will shape the strongest leaders. Penn seeks the most talented undergraduate students, from the widest range of backgrounds and from countries all over the world, and has made a commitment to supporting admitted international students through generous financial aid.
International students enrich the Penn community by offering unique voices, life experiences, and perspectives. The presence of international students on campus prepares Penn students for the society of the future—a society that is becoming increasingly diverse and global.
Plan a gift in your will to support undergraduate financial aid and educate the next generation of leaders. By creating a bequest that creates an endowed scholarship at Penn or support the undergraduate financial aid program, you ensure that students with the talent and ambition to succeed are given the opportunity to do so.
