Vincent, NU'21

Vincent has lived in Philadelphia his whole life, so the opportunity to attend an Ivy League school while staying in the city he loves was a dream come true. Vincent, who attends the School of Nursing, doesn’t just talk the talk, but walks to the walk when it comes to his love for Philadelphia and its people. Last summer, Vincent co-led the STEM and Wellness program blocks at the Aquinas Center’s Green and Growing Summer Camp in South Philadelphia, where he designed and coordinated interactive projects that promoted oral, heart, and mental health and good nutrition. Then, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit the city, Vincent volunteered to work at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania before taking on a nursing assistantship at Jeanes Hospital.
