Ways to Give

We are committed to putting a Penn education within reach for all talented students. Your support makes this possible.

Penn is committed to meeting the increasing financial needs of talented students, for whom an Ivy-League education would not be possible without financial aid. With every gift to the Undergraduate Named Scholarship Program and Penn First Plus, donors affirm their belief in education as a driving force for good. Matching funds can expand the impact of our donors who share in this commitment.

Create a Challenge Fund

Our ability to leverage matching dollars that increase the power of endowed scholarships is made possible by the generous support of challenge fund donors. The impact of these gifts has been a hallmark of the undergraduate financial aid program and a significant factor in Penn’s unprecedented success in funding this core priority.

A gift of $500,000 can create a challenge fund that will encourage up to 10 other donors to make a scholarship gift. In recognition of this special gift, Penn will create and award a scholarship annually in perpetuity in the name of the challenge fund donor.

International Financial Aid

In higher education, excellence goes hand in hand with global perspectives. When universities think globally, they shape strong leaders. Penn seeks the most talented undergraduate students, from countries all over the world, and has made a commitment to supporting admitted international students through generous financial aid.

Talented international students enrich the Penn community by offering unique voices, experiences, and perspectives. The presence of international students on campus prepares Penn students for our globally connected society.

“The classes at Penn are great, but the full Penn experience outside of the classroom is so much more important. Named Scholarships have given me the opportunity to dive into it and take everything in for my four years here.”

Make a lasting impact on a student’s life.

By endowing a scholarship, you can support future generations of Penn students who, if given the opportunity, can change the world.
